James Donaldson Timber achieves FSC accreditation

As a company we are proud of our green credentials.

JDT has set out to achieve both internationally recognised certification schemes, these are PEFC Pan European Forest Certification and FSC Forest Stewardship Council.

These schemes aim to provide a guarantee to timber users that timber sourced through both schemes comply fully with forest management practices that are sustainable.

Both FSC and PEFC ensure that the impact of forestry in an area has a positive effect on the environmental, social and economic stability of the region.

Recently, JDT has achieved FSC accreditation and will also achieve PEFC status within the coming months.

We are committed to purchasing products from companies with both FSC and PEFC accreditation, and will continue to operate our business on a commercial basis, but with a strong green conscience.
