Treated Timber

Statistics show that more than 60% of new housing projects in Scotland are constructed in timber frame. There is, therefore, a large demand from our customers for professional pre-treatment of timber components.

At JDT we operate:

• One 35ft Protim B610 low pressure plant
• One 56ft Protim E415 low pressure plant
• One 25ft Celcure AC500 high pressure plant

We treat timber under pressure and vacuum cycles, with a range of environmentally-responsible chemicals to suit the timber's end-use. Both the Protim and Celcure are water-based treatments.

PROTIM

Protim can be used in all internal applications of timber in building, ie timber joists, internal stud partitions and roof trusses.

CELCURE

Celcure application is for timbers in high-risk situations, ie fencing, timbers in ground contact, or under the damp proof course of buildings.

At JDT we work with our customers to treat some 60,000+m3 of softwood per annum.
