JDT place a great deal of importance in sourcing the correct raw material in every instance in order to supply the correct product to the customer every time.

While some competitors in the marketplace go for purchase volumes of varying quality and specifications from various countries, perhaps saving a few pounds in the process, we at JDT don't.

We have nurtured long-standing relationships with only the very best of Scandinavian sawmills. Also, we regularly purchase from main suppliers, each supplying a precise specification and an unrivalled consistency of quality.

JDT Managing Director Scott Cairns believes the policy pays dividends.

Our suppliers know what is required with regards to quality and specification, and they are all true leaders in their own marketplace."

As part of our quality service we offer softwood products for both structural and joinery applications. We purchase whitewood (Picea Aibes) from Sweden, Norway and Latvia and redpine (Pinus Sylvestus) from Finland.

With a stock turn at the Leven Sawmill of every six weeks, customers can be assured of fresh, clean and well-presented stock reaching them on time ... every time.
